A historic church and a lake side country club were the venues for Erin and Garrett’s destination wedding. Erin originally from Chicago and Garrett from North Idaho both live in Dubai. The year and half planning for their wedding was done over skype and email while working with an 11 hour time difference. Even though the couple was planning a half a world away their customized wedding checklist and monthly skype sessions with us kept the planning on track and organized.
When Erin was asked to describe her wedding vision she said, a fun, elegant wedding where we can celebrate and spend time with our guests and family.
On a beautiful and breezy Saturday in July the wedding day started with a traditional catholic ceremony held at St. Thomas parish in downtown Coeur d’Alene. Erin wore a Vera Wang wedding dress accented by an heirloom veil that was first worn by her great grandmother in 1921 and has been passed down 3 generations for weddings. The ceremony was full of meaning and very special to the groom as it was held in the church he grew up in.
After the ceremony the couple and the wedding party took a party bus around town for great outdoor pictures featuring the natural beauty of North Idaho.
The lakeside reception at the Hayden Lake country club had a raw bar, a rockin R&B/Blues band and featured a huckleberry mojito as the signature drink. A crisp white and muted lake blue color scheme accented the tent for 175 guests that came from around the country and the world to celebrate with Erin, Garrett and their families.
