Sometimes when you plan a wedding you don’t just get to know the couple but their entire family. This was the case with Britney and Douglas’s wedding. The first picture is actually from one of our first and only in person planning meetings as the couple lived out of state. On this day we ate great food, tasted signature cocktails, decided huckleberry cheesecake was the dessert of choice and planned a spectacular wedding!
Their wedding at Lodge at Sandpoint and Forty-One South was perfect for this outdoor loving couple. Originally the design was boho chic but by the end of the planning it was more Britney Chic, as Britney (and Douglas) broke out of Pinterest and chose elements to their wedding that truly reflected who they were, down to earth, natural and beautiful people inside and out.
The weather on the wedding day was not perfect as there was some smoke in the air and we had some significant rainfall in the early part of the afternoon, we had a plan B ready to go but the skies cleared of rain and we were able to have the ceremony outside as planned. The wood benches and copper ceremony circles were all that was needed to enhance the beauty of this lakefront location.
